The Nigeria Revenue Service (Nigeria Revenue Service) has officially launched Rev360, a next-generation digital tax administration platform designed to modernise tax collection, streamline compliance processes, and significantly improve revenue generation efficiency across the country.

The launch marks one of the most ambitious digital reforms in Nigeria’s fiscal administration history, as the agency moves to consolidate fragmented tax systems into a single, integrated technology-driven ecosystem.

A Unified Digital Tax Ecosystem

Rev360 is structured as a comprehensive end-to-end tax management platform that integrates key functions including taxpayer registration, tax filing, payment processing, compliance monitoring, reporting, and customer support services.

Officials say the system eliminates long-standing inefficiencies associated with manual processes and disconnected databases, replacing them with a unified digital architecture that allows real-time data access, improved transparency, and faster service delivery.

By centralising operations, the platform is expected to reduce administrative bottlenecks, minimise delays in tax processing, and improve coordination between departments within the revenue service.

Government Push for Economic Digitalisation

Speaking at the official unveiling, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, described Rev360 as a “critical milestone” in Nigeria’s broader economic reform agenda.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Danjuma, the minister noted that digital transformation in tax administration is essential for improving governance efficiency, strengthening investor confidence, and expanding the country’s non-oil revenue base.

He stressed that modern tax systems powered by digital infrastructure are now central to improving ease of doing business and ensuring predictability in fiscal policy—two factors crucial to attracting both local and foreign investment.

Tax Authority Targets Transparency and Compliance

The Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, said Rev360 represents a structural shift in the agency’s operational philosophy, moving it from a traditional tax authority to a fully digital institution.

According to him, the platform aligns with the agency’s Tax Administration 3.0 framework, which focuses on automation, real-time analytics, transparency, and enhanced taxpayer engagement.

He explained that the system is designed to promote voluntary compliance by simplifying tax obligations and providing taxpayers with a seamless digital experience.

“Rev360 is not just a technological upgrade; it is a complete redefinition of how tax administration is delivered,” he said, adding that the platform would significantly reduce friction in tax processes while improving accountability.

Designed for Modern Taxpayers and Businesses

Officials noted that Rev360 was developed in response to evolving taxpayer expectations, particularly from businesses operating in increasingly digital and fast-paced economic environments.

The Executive Director for Medium and Emerging Taxpayers, Mrs. Bolaji Akintola, said modern organisations now expect government services to match private-sector standards in speed, convenience, and transparency.

She explained that Rev360 simplifies taxpayer onboarding, filing procedures, payment systems, and compliance tracking while also strengthening communication between taxpayers and the revenue authority.

Data-Driven Revenue Growth Strategy

The Chief of Staff to the NRS Chairman, Mr. Tayo Koleosho, highlighted the platform’s strategic importance in improving Nigeria’s revenue performance.

He said Rev360 will enhance data-driven decision-making by providing real-time insights into taxpayer behaviour, compliance patterns, and revenue trends.

According to him, this will not only strengthen policy formulation but also enable the agency to identify gaps in compliance and improve enforcement efficiency where necessary.

He further emphasised that the reform represents a cultural shift within the institution—one that prioritises efficiency, accountability, and technology-led governance.

Technology Backbone of the Reform

Providing technical details, Executive Director for Technology, Mr. Iniabasi Akpan, explained that Rev360 is built as a fully integrated digital ecosystem connecting all taxpayer interaction points into one system.

He said the platform supports real-time monitoring, automated workflows, and advanced analytics capabilities, allowing for improved operational coordination across departments.

Akpan added that the system’s architecture will enhance responsiveness, improve service delivery, and strengthen the agency’s capacity to leverage data for both operational and strategic decision-making.

A Step Toward a Digital Revenue Future

With the rollout of Rev360, the Nigeria Revenue Service says it is reinforcing its commitment to innovation, transparency, and institutional reform.

The platform is expected to play a central role in strengthening Nigeria’s non-oil revenue base, improving compliance rates, and supporting long-term economic stability.

Analysts suggest that if effectively implemented, Rev360 could mark a turning point in Nigeria’s tax administration system—ushering in a more efficient, transparent, and technology-driven revenue future.
