 In a move aimed at strengthening state-federal partnerships and enhancing pension administration across Nigeria, the Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Tolulope Odunaiya, led a delegation of the Directorate’s Senior Management Team on a strategic courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the Lagos House, Marina.
The engagement is part of PTAD’s ongoing efforts to foster closer ties with state governments, streamline pension management processes, and ensure that retirees receive timely and efficient services. During the visit, the team discussed strategies for collaboration, information sharing, and the adoption of best practices in pension administration across the federation.
Governor Sanwo-Olu welcomed the PTAD delegation, acknowledging the importance of robust partnerships between federal agencies and state governments. He highlighted that effective pension management is essential not only for safeguarding retirees’ welfare but also for sustaining public confidence in governance institutions. The governor reiterated Lagos State’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote accountability, transparency, and efficiency in pension administration.
Speaking after the meeting, Mr. Odunaiya described the visit as a significant step in deepening institutional relationships. “Maintaining close dialogue with state executives is key to ensuring that PTAD’s policies and programs are effectively implemented. Our collaboration with Lagos State will serve as a model for other states in delivering timely and secure pension services to retirees,” he said.
