DataPro Unveils Intensive Enterprise Risk Bootcamp to Build Nigeria’s Next Generation of Risk Leaders
As financial institutions grapple with rising regulatory demands, economic uncertainties, cyber threats and evolving market risks, DataPro, one of Nigeria’s leading Credit Rating Agencies and Africa’s foremost Compliance and Risk Management consulting firms, has announced a comprehensive one-week Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Bootcamp designed to strengthen institutional resilience and develop world-class risk professionals.
The intensive face-to-face programme, scheduled for August 3–7, 2026, at the DataPro Academy, Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, will provide participants with advanced technical knowledge, practical simulations and strategic leadership skills required to manage enterprise-wide risks in today’s increasingly complex financial environment.
According to DataPro, the training is specifically designed to equip professionals, team members and stakeholders across financial institutions, government agencies and corporate organisations with the expertise to integrate Credit, Market, Operational, Compliance and Liquidity Risks into a unified Enterprise Risk Management framework.
The programme will also provide participants with hands-on experience in executing complex risk calculations, including IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modelling, Value-at-Risk (VaR), Economic Value of Equity (EVE) and regulatory compliance under Basel III/IV standards as well as the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) framework.
Beyond technical competence, the bootcamp seeks to transform risk professionals from operational executors into strategic decision-makers capable of driving sustainable business performance while strengthening institutional governance.
The company explained that through rigorous stress-testing simulations and practical application of the globally recognised Three Lines of Defense model, participants will move beyond a reactive compliance mindset to a proactive risk culture that enhances organisational resilience and optimises risk-adjusted returns.
“We invite organisations to register their staff for this intensive face-to-face programme to sharpen their Enterprise Risk Management expertise with confidence and precision,” the company said.
Comprehensive Five-Day Learning Programme
The bootcamp features five intensive modules covering every critical aspect of modern enterprise risk management.
The opening day focuses on Enterprise Risk Management governance, strategy and risk culture, exposing participants to international ERM frameworks, governance structures, Board Risk Committee responsibilities, Risk Appetite Frameworks and ethical leadership.
Day two concentrates on Credit Underwriting and Credit Risk Management, offering practical sessions on financial modelling, collateral management, credit rating systems, IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss calculations, portfolio management, early warning systems and distressed asset recovery.
On the third day, participants will explore Operational Risk Management, including Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), operational capital measurement, business continuity planning and operational resilience against cyber threats, technology failures and emerging disruptions.
The fourth day’s sessions will examine Market and Liquidity Risk Management, focusing on interest rate risk, foreign exchange exposure, market valuation models, liquidity coverage ratios, stress testing and contingency funding strategies.
The final day will address Asset and Liability Management (ALM), Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), Economic Value of Equity (EVE), balance sheet optimisation, emerging climate-related risks, cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence governance and macroeconomic stress-testing techniques.
Building Future-Ready Risk Professionals
DataPro noted that the programme targets Chief Risk Officers, Risk Managers, Finance and Treasury professionals, Compliance Officers, Internal Auditors, Senior Executives and Board Members seeking to strengthen enterprise-wide risk governance.
The company said participants would acquire practical tools to identify interconnected risks across organisations, improve regulatory compliance, implement global best practices and support informed executive decision-making.
